An article on Aug. 4 about the history of teen beauty trends misstated the nationality of the founder of Tinkerbell Cosmetics. He was American, not British.

BOOK REVIEW

A review on July 21 about the novel “Enlightenment,” by Sarah Perry, misstated the time it takes one character to discover that another has a wife. It is a matter of months, not 10 years.
